Under the supervision and guidance of the Regional Sports Director or Coordinator, the Sports Referee or Umpire is responsible for officiating youth, teen or adult sporting events including, but not limited to: baseball, basketball, soccer, volleyball, etc. This position requires individuals to monitor play, ensure safety of all coaches and participants.

The effectiveness of this position is primarily measured by the stated satisfaction of members and ensuring a safe, clean, controlled and fun environment in accordance with the YMCA of Metro Atlanta Philosophy.
