Riverside Behavioral Health Center in Hampton, Virginia is currently seeking a labor pool (as needed) Recreation Therapist.
Qualifications:
  • CTRS Certification or Certification pending required.
  • Bachelors degree in Therapeutic Recreation required.
  • Internship or clinical experience in a hospital or residential setting is preferred.
  • BLS and First Aid certifications are required within 30 days of hire.
Works under the supervision of the Recreation Therapy Supervisor to develop and provide quality activity and therapeutic recreation services for patients and residents to include psycho-educational groups fitness and expressive therapies. Maintains space equipment and supplies for the provision of recreation therapy services. Actively performs as a member of the interdisciplinary team and demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide interventions appropriate to the age of the patient or resident served.
