Job Description
Receptionist (FT)


Perform all front desk clerical duties for the facility. Act as greeter for visitors. These statements are intended to describe the nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this position. This is not an exhaustive list of all responsibilities and duties required of the job incumbents.


Essential Requirements, Duties, And Responsibilities


  • Make announcements of various programs.
  • Must be able to type 35 words per minute.
  • Page personnel as needed.
  • Perform miscellaneous and Business Offices duties as assigned.
  • Attend appropriate in-services.
  • Keep resident’s roster in current status.
  • Sort newspapers for residents.
  • Must be eighteen (18) years of age.
  • Comply with department and facility procedures, fire prevention and safety standards.
  • Responsible for processing all mail through the postage meter. .
  • Sort mail for staff, residents
  • Must be in compliance with HIPAA regulations at all times.
  • Take messages for Departments out of the office.
  • Sell stamps and provide change for convenience of residents and visitors.
  • Various photocopying, computer and typing assignments.
  • Must be a high school graduate with business coursework preferred.
  • Act as receptionist for visitors, employees and residents.
  • Receive and transfer incoming general information calls.


Other reasonable duties as assigned by supervisor. Additional duties may be required, although they may be assigned to another employee due to special circumstances applicable to the employee
