Receiver Jobs

POSITION SUMMARY:
The receiver position is responsible for daily receiving and various organizational duties. This includes receiving of all deliveries, inspecting for damage, returning damaged goods, storing and rotating stock (FIFO). All storage and organization must be within the guidelines of DOH and HACCP standards.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

• 1+ Years of receiver experience in reputable restaurant or catering
• Strong communication skills.
• Have weekend and holiday availability pending production flow.
• Competent in organization and time management skills
• Must be able to lift 50+ lbs
• Punctual, hard-working and dependable.
• Display strong work ethics and work habits.
• Language: English, Spanish ( preferred )
• NYC food Handlers Certificate preferred
• Requires mobility, prolonged standing bending, squatting and reaching.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Return damaged product when necessary, keep track of returns and inform kitchen
• Keep organized record of invoices
• Conduct inventory and perform other duties as outlined by Chefs or Kitchen Manager
• Receive shipments, double check quality of deliveries, store in proper location.
• Dishwashing/porter duties as needed: cleaning and sanitizing surfaces, walk-in floors, dry storage, loading area and kitchen.
• Support savory and dry pack out as needed
• Keep walk-in and dry storage shelves organized and clean.
• Communicate with Chefs or Kitchen Manager when product is low or needs replacement.
