Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Inspects incoming raw stock to verify compliance with purchase order.
  • Responsible for integrity of the contents and markings of all shipping containers
  • Packages accessories and related parts for shipment.
  • Makes decision as to method of shipment of service parts based on size, weight, time, special customer requirements, and according to established procedures.
  • Issues stock for Bills of Material. Collects and stages parts requested. Transports inventory to Manufacturing areas utilizing proper material handling equipment.
  • Receives material, and places into inventory using proper material handling equipment.
  • May be required to perform other department duties when necessary
  • Maintains cleanliness of assigned areas.
  • Maintains location files electronically through IFS (Instron business operating system)
  • Removes chips from collection sites and deposits into designated bins.
  • Loads and unloads delivery trucks.
  • Participates in daily cycle count either by actual count which requires personal accuracy of 99% or by processing counts through the inventory system.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required
  • Positive attitude and focus on working safely at all times.
  • Demonstrates flexibility and a willingness to learn.
  • Physical stamina for standing and walking up to 50% of the time. Must be able to lift an average of 35 pounds 50% of the work time with occasional need to lift more, using assistance to lift over 50 pounds.
  • Ability to operate power pallet truck arid forklift and power crane.
  • 1-5 years in a shipping, receiving, material handling role preferred.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently, without direct supervision or written instruction.
  • Solid computer skills with emphasis on Microsoft Office tools
  • Requires a High School diploma or equivalent.
