The Opportunity
This position will provide laboratory bench-top chemical testing of dairy and protein products for moisture, fat, protein, ash, lactose etc. This permanent position will report to the R&D Lab Manager.

• Maintain inventory of needed supplies and ingredients and procure same as required
• Prepare experimental reports and document results. Provide input, observations, and recommendations for improved testing, efficiency of testing and function of the analytical laboratory
• Create and update standard operating procedures and other standard work forms for the R&D Group
• Work courteously and tactfully with R&D team, laboratory clients, and the public and other employees.
• Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources
• Follow analytical procedures with exactness, timeliness, and accuracy.
• Maintain operations of the analytical lab including keeping lab area and equipment clean and operational according to cleaning and operational instructions

The Skills You Will Bring To The Team

• Experience using Microsoft suite products (specifically Word & Excel)
• Associates degree with a lab science focus or 4 years’ experience in lab testing preferred
• Excellent record required in safety, attendance, and punctuality
• Experience with basic testing of foods, supplements or nutritional products
• Good report writing, analytical and communication skills
• Ability to stand and walk the entire shift if needed
• Knowledge of the proper use of all cleaning chemicals
