Job Description
The Lucky Horseshoes are looking for a qualified play by play announcer for the 2023 Prospect League Baseball season.
Our team will play a 62-game regular season schedule from late May through early August, with 32 home games at Robin Roberts Stadium in Springfield, Illinois.
We are looking for a lead play by play announcer to broadcast all of our Lucky Horseshoes home games both on internet radio & Prospect League TV.
Responsibilities:
  • Broadcast all 'Shoes home games on PLTV and Mixlr.
  • Assist in game night operations of press box prior to & during all 'Shoes home games.
  • Availability for all 32 home Lucky Horseshoes Games
  • Assist in production projects, including interviews and videos with 'Shoes players.
  • Set up equipment needed to broadcast game prior to every Lucky Horseshoes game
Requirements:
  • Broadcasting experience is required.
  • Camera Operations
  • Basic understanding of production and media is preferred.
  • Preferred basic knowledge and experience of:
    • Live Streaming
    • Camera Operations
  • Live Streaming
Qualified individuals should be competent professionals, able to independently perform all game day media and public relation activities, develop quality written communications with the media, communicate with the baseball operations department, and effectively broadcast games to a large audience.
