Race Coach (2015-2016 Season)

The Snowsports Pro provides a positive, fun, and safe environment for our athletes to build skills and confidence. Race Coaches are responsible for the on hill coaching experience of athletes and are ambassadors for Mohawk Mountain whenever they are in uniform. Reports to Director of Snowsports.
Requirements
Essential Duties

• Friendly and helpful host to mountain guests
• Other duties as assigned by the Director of Snowsports or
• Assists with the set-up and take-down of race and practice equipment
• Teaches skier etiquette and safe on-hill behavior
• Coaches athletes on the skills and tactics needed for ski racing

Qualifications

• Is able to ski and/or snowboard at an intermediate level or above
• USSA credentials preferred but not required
• Is able to effectively communicate with customers

Special Considerations

• Must be able to work for extended periods outside in all weather conditions
• Must own appropriate ski/snowboard gear
• Must work weekends and holidays
• Must be able to stand and work for extended periods
• Must be able to bend, lift and ski with up to 50lbs of gear
