Cashier, Food Service (2015-2016 Season)

Will operate and be responsible for the contents of a computer-based cash register in a cafeteria setting.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Count and sign out a cash drawer at start of shift.
Complete cash/credit/gift card transactions efficiently.
Assess currency/credit cards for signs of fraud.
Greet customers and thank them for their business.
Navigate cash register computer program.
Provide an accurate report of sales/discrepancies at close of shift.
Monitor use of employee discounts.
Complete any other duties assigned.
Requirements
Qualifications for the position:
Must be 16 years of age, 18 years of age to operate certain equipment.
Must have basic math skills.
Must be able follow a series of safety protocols.
Must have reliable transportation.
Special Considerations
Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds.
Must be able to communicate effectively with customers.
Must be willing to sometimes work longer than specified shift.
Must accept varied weekly work hours depending on weather, holidays, etc.
Must be a respectful, safe, team player.
