Bachelor’s Degree but will consider equivalent work experience.

Two years of relevant experience in Quality Assurance and/or Manufacturing or Engineering.

Monitor and document room temperatures throughout the facility as assigned by management

Place and remove hold tags under the direction of the Quality Assurance Manager

Monitor compliance to sanitation and GMP requirements for all team members

Demonstrated effective Food Safety knowledge (PCQI, allergens, sanitation, GMPs)

Basic computer skills are required

Previous experience in a food and/or manufacturing industry

Bachelor’s degree in physical science and/or food industry experience preferred.

1-3 year of general work experience required.

Prior food production operation experience preferred.

Previous experience within high-speed industrial environment preferred.

Ability to read and understand MSDS, operate manufacturing equipment, and knowledge of industrial technology a plus.

Conduct qualitative and quantitative testing of beverages, syrups, and raw materials throughout the entire production process. 

Perform data entry activities for different quality data reports as required in a timely and efficient manner

Experience with operating manufacturing equipment and hand tools

Basic reading and math skills are preferred

Possess communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and leadership skills

Complete all tasks as assigned by the Quality Department Leadership

Perform all necessary quality audits on production activities

Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required to successfully perform major duties/responsibilities:

Strong computer, document management skills and attention to details

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

Facilitates production activities to meet quality & food safety specifications and regulatory standards by providing training, auditing, troubleshooting and incident management.

Working knowledge of regulatory and quality system requirements – Hershey’s Product Excellence Program (PEP), HACCP, Good Manufacturing Process (GMP), etc.

Knowledge of federal and state food industry regulations.

Participate in special projects, such as auditing, training other departments or inspecting; provide reports to management on findings

Perform random, in-process auditing designated by the quality manager/supervisor or lead; assist with follow-up on quality-related problems

Effective communication skills to present information in one-on-one, small and large group situations to customers, clients and coworkers

1 year of quality assurance experience in manufacturing, packaging, or distribution facility

Work closely with quality assurance, manufacturing operations, and inventory control personnel

Research, resolve and communicate work problems to Supervisor and assist coworkers in solving problems

Evaluates workloads and team resources and is proficient at communicating changing requirements to Management for workflow and assignment adjustments.

Experience with applications such as warehouse management systems is required.

High school diploma or GED required and at least 4 years of relevant experience.

Experience with Excel to include spreadsheets and formulas and outlook email is required.

Must have at least One year of experience working with Mental Health individuals in a Mental Health setting or environment.

Experience in supervision or leadership role is a plus but not required.

Provides training to individuals in a variety of areas depending upon the individual’s needs.

Completes required documentation in the individual’s and unit records.

Observes and maintains an awareness of individuals’ behavior and physical whereabouts to ensure their security and safety.

Transports/accompanies individuals to appointments and activities in various locations and off campus visits.

Examines finished goods and materials for cosmetic defects, miss-formed parts, burrs, and general KMC product standards.

Verifies specified dimensions of products using pin and plug gauges, attribute gauges, calipers, height stands, and other inspection equipment.

Rejects defective parts and marks type of part defect on appropriate container.

Package product to customer standards while maintaining an accurate count of the product.

Perform limited transactions in ERP system (Plex) to update and split off inventory levels

Other duties as assigned or required

Collaborate with Receiving Management and Logistics on inbound shipment scheduling

Monitor Receiving Reports and Employee Production Metrics, and report results to Management

Other Projects as assigned by the Operations Management team

Possess basic computer skills with a good knowledge of Microsoft Office

2+ Years of Receiving experience in a distribution setting

Experience with a goods to person robotics system a plus
