Position: Quality Technician

Locations: Fairburn, GA

Salary: $25-$27hr

Description:

The Quality Technician is responsible for ensuring we meet the highest standards for product and part quality and compliance with technical specifications by conducting inspections, tests, and audits identifying non-conformities to quality standards. Their expertise ensures we deliver superior products to our customers.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supplier (Parts) Quality: Perform incoming inspections utilizing various tools, instruments, and equipment to conduct functionality testing to identify any non-conformities. Ensure consistent adherence to all quality control procedures, standards, and guidelines. This includes new parts and customer returned pieces.

Quality Documentation and St

Standards: Record and document inspection results accurately and thoroughly. Prepare detailed reports highlighting non-conformities, deviations, and areas of improvement. Maintain process documentation logs and paperwork for non-conforming and returned parts/materials. Ensure all supplier certifications, in-house testing records, and related quality documentation is accurately maintained and current.

Quality Control: Perform stock sweeps to ensure stock parts meet quality standards. Quarantine discrepant parts as required. Work with cross-functional teams to drive timely dispositions, including deviations. Collaborate with suppliers and manage materials returned to suppliers for repair, alteration, or replacement.

Root Cause Analysis: Assist with quality issue investigations and identify underlying causes of defects or non-conformities to remedy and prevent/mitigate recurrence.

Measure: Track and analyze Supplier performance data such as defect rates or delivery delays and communicate findings to Procurement and Quality team for appropriate actions.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

• Education:

High school diploma or equivalent. A degree or certification in a relevant technical field is preferred

• Work-Related Experience:

3+ years proven experience in industrial inspection or quality role, preferably within manufacturing or supply chain environment,

Preferred: This is an onsite position. Hybrid schedules do not apply to this role.
