Lab Technician/Quality Coordinator

We are looking for:

This role is approximately 50% Lab Technician and 50% Quality Coordinator. In this role you will perform daily and weekly lab analysis to support the needs of plant operations and the Peroxides GBU and provide backup support to Sr. Lab Technician in routine duties. This position will require shipping raw material and finished product samples according to all local and international regulations. This role will also lead the Longview site to ensure the Quality Management System (QMS) is maintained, facilitate continued compliance to the ISO 9001 quality standard and RCMS (Responsible Care Management System), and perform internal audits of the RCMS and ISO 9001 standard.

• Support vendor non-conformance reports concerning raw materials and quality issues.
• Track and follow up on customer complaints by analyzing root cause of complaint and working with the manufacturing and logistics departments to address root cause and relevant actions.
• Support the Sr. Lab Technician in approving raw materials by evaluating COA’s, performing analysis, shipping samples to external laboratories, and signing raw material approval forms.
• Package and ship raw material and finished goods samples according to domestic and international (when applicable) regulations.
• Ensure Longview KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) are updated and published each month.
• Phosphate analysis
• Support the Sr. Lab Technician in finished goods analysis to ensure final product and customer specifications are upheld.
• Working solution analysis
• Gas chromatography
• TC (Total Carbon) production samples
• HPLC analysis
• Lead the site to meet all corporate and site quality objectives.
• Lead quarterly QMS (Quality Management System) meetings with Longview management and quality team.
• H2O2 tank analysis
• Product stabilities
• Retain testing
• Environmental effluent analysis
• Ensure the site maintains ISO 9001 certification and follows the RCMS (Responsible Care Management System).
• Perform standard lab analyses, calculations, and data logging in support of plant operations including (but not limited to):
  • HPLC analysis
  • Gas chromatography
  • TC (Total Carbon) production samples
  • Phosphate analysis
  • Product stabilities
  • Retain testing
  • Environmental effluent analysis
  • H2O2 tank analysis
  • Working solution analysis

• Perform internal audits of the Longview (and potentially North American region) facility to ensure the plant meets the criteria of ISO 9001 and RCMS. Coordinate registrar and customer audits.
• Ensure company continuous improvement/quality goals and objectives are achieved.
• Stay organized and maintain balance between lab role and quality role.
• Lead the Innovation Team by quarterly review of Got It! submissions, follow up on ideas, and motivating the Longview site to continuously improve.

Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base hourly range. Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives.
