Job Description

Supervises plant Food Safety, Product Quality, and SQF requirements by directing and coordinating activities consistent with established goals, objectives, and policies. Follows direction set by Corporate Quality Manager & Plant Manager to meet organizational goals.


Responsibilities

  • Resolve technical problems encountered by technicians, supervisors, and managers.
  • Monitor and ensure company equipment is in working order and coordinate equipment repairs when necessary.
  • Oversee site Quality Department.
  • Support and implement Company goals and directives.
  • Ensure a safe working environment within the plant and grounds.
  • Other duties as required for business needs.
  • Enforce acceptable housekeeping and safety standards,
  • Ensures product safety by enforcing Novipax’s GMP requirements, identifying practices and/or situations that risk product contamination, identifying practices and/or situations that violate cleaning and pest control requirements, reporting equipment needing repair to supervision and avoid/monitor temporary repairs, ensuring recent maintenance work is cleaned up and does not pose any risk to the product, informing Production of nonconforming product so it is segregated, making sure that no glass is brought into the facility and or into production or storage areas
  • Works closely with management team members (key staff) to ensure continuous responsibility for product quality, safety, and legality.


Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years in a management position in a food-related manufacturing plant environment
  • Minimum of 5 years of food safety/quality experience
  • GFSI (SQF) and Internal Auditing certification preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in science, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
  • HACCP Certification Required
