The Quality Performance Improvement Data Analyst is responsible for meeting the reporting and data analytical needs of the performance improvement arm of the Quality Improvement Department.


This role designs and builds reports utilizing various data applications and sources. The analyst applies advanced quantitative modeling, process knowledge, and data analysis to develop, recommend, and communicate timely, accurate, relevant, and actionable insights to support performance improvement team objectives. The analyst ensures data accuracy while displaying and communicating data insights.


Required


  • Experience in quantitative analysis with a demonstrated focus in statistics and analytics, as well as experience with coding languages (e.g. R, Python, SAS, SQL) to query and extract data.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in health information management, IT, engineering, health informatics, actuarial science, statistics, mathematics, or in a related field.
  • Ability to work independently, coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, and meet required deadlines.


Preferred


  • Demonstrated knowledge of healthcare data elements.
  • Previous experience as a healthcare data analyst and experience at a health system or with a consulting firm.
  • Demonstrated experience in writing programs to support clinical data collection.
  • Master’s degree in health information management, IT, engineering, health informatics, actuarial science, statistics, mathematics, or in a related field.
