Quality control chemist/specialist

• Refining and enhancing analytical methods using a variety of techniques including chromatography, infrared, and wet chemistry techniques such as HPLC (UV, CAD, and ELSD detectors), GC (FID and ECD detectors), near IR, and FTIR.
• Meticulously documenting findings, including Certificates of Analysis (CoA’s), test methods, and product specifications
• Performing analysis and making recommendations on finished products, working on in-process samples, and incoming raw materials, with a special emphasis on resolving batch-related issues and fine-tuning processes for a variety of chemical compounds.
• Contributing to the development and improvement of lab test methods, as well as operating, calibrating, and maintaining laboratory instruments and equipment.

BS or MS in Chemistry (or any variation)

Analytical instrumentation experience (HPLC, GC, FTIR, IR)

5-10 years of practical experience in product quality control

Personal Care industry experience is a massive plus

analytical/ problem solving mindset

ability to learn and catch on quickly

ISO standards experience

Experience with internal audits (preferably conducting but participating works as well)
