Parsons is hiring a Quality Assurance Manager (QAR) to support our client in Gaithersburg, Maryland.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Responsible for ensuring construction contractor’s delivery of work that meets the quality standards of the plans and specifications and the contractor’s approved quality control plan.
  • The QAM shall develop and annually update a Quality Assurance Surveillance Plan (QASP) for each construction contractor detailing how the CMa contractor will effectively monitor and manage project design and construction progress.
  • Oversees Subcontractor work for quality and compliance.
  • Responsible for overall program Quality Program
  • Manage and schedule inspections and Quality Inspectors
  • The CMa contractor shall submit each QASP to the client for review and approval and make all necessary revisions necessary throughout contract performance.

What Preferred Skills You’ll Bring:

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in similar positions, an ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with client and contractor/tradesmen in performance of duties, and experience in design and construction projects similar in scope, size (dollar value) and complexity.
  • Experience in design-build projects is also recommended.
  • The QAM shall have capability to communicate (i.e. voice, phone, text, or email) with staff anytime construction work is taking place on the client project site.
