Project Engineer I - Quality Control - Aircraft Outfitting in GAC Savannah
Unique Skills:
- Candidate must possess strong analytical skills and an acute attention to detail.
- Ability to provide solutions to discrepancies within complex engineering designs within Catia.
- Familiarity with Capital Harness System and Electrical Harness Integration a plus. (Capital tool suite)
- Must work well in a fast-paced dynamic team with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Familiar with the certification process of aviation a plus.
- Familiar with EWIS requirements.
- Candidate will work alongside the Completions Engineering Design and Leadership team to find and implement process/design improvements. The focus will be to drive up the quality of our engineering.
- Ability to analyze engineering data within Completions/Aircraft Interior organization.
- Provide solutions to complex engineering issues within Completions.

Education and Experience Requirements
- Fully responsible for planning and conducting important segments of engineering projects with extensive and diversified engineering requirements. Has input for facilities, personnel, and funds required. to carry out project.
- Establishes project work scope, task descriptions, budget estimates and manpower requirements including master scheduling that meets corporate objectives and commitments.
- Determines practicality of the overall project in regard to function suitability, availability of manpower, equipment and materials, resources, cost, and producibility.
- Anticipates problems with assigned projects (technical, budget, schedule) and takes appropriate action to prevent their occurrence.
- Assigns tasks to functional personnel and provides the necessary project supervision to meet schedules and fulfill requirements.
- Keeps management informed of project accomplishments and major problem areas as well as budget and schedule status.
- Provides project management between engineering sections and all related activities including program management, other departments, vendors, consultants, and customers.
- Maintains a current knowledge of technical developments.
- Approves project related engineering data to assure compliance with corporate policies and FAA/military requirements as required.
- Actively works to improve daily processes and ensures all work meets customer requirements.

- Has accountability for technical decisions pertaining to the configuration of the aircraft for the project. This includes as a minimum, design, analysis, supplier integration, development, testing, and certification.
- Must interface with other PEs and engineering management to ensure systems are compatible and designed with in common goals.
- Must provide leadership to direct staff to ensure proper methodology and decision making criteria are being utilized.
- Must express judgment and foresight to recognize when decisions should be elevated to senior management.
- Must be able to clearly and concisely present technical and team status to program and senior management leadership.
- Must be able to organize and facilitate technical supplier coordination meetings.
- Must be able to prepare status reports that accurately reflect status of project.
- Has budgetary responsibility for cross-functional team.
- Must prepare budget status report that can be submitted and presented in a clear manner to program and functional management.
