Description:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Channel Watching Quality Assurance Engineer to join our Clients team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and for our client by monitoring and testing the live and on-demand channels on multiple interfaces. As a Channel Watching Quality Assurance Engineer, you will work closely with the development, operations, and content teams to identify and troubleshoot any issues that arise in real-time.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with development and operations teams to reproduce, diagnose and resolve any issues found during testing.
• Identify and report any bugs, issues or inconsistencies in the streaming platform.
• Monitor live and on-demand channels on our streaming platform to ensure quality and reliability.
• Collaborate with content teams to ensure that all content is available and properly encoded for streaming.
• Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to provide regular updates on testing progress and quality metrics
• Continuously improve the testing process by identifying areas for automation and optimization
• Create and execute test plans and test cases to verify that features and functionality are working as expected.

Qualifications:

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Experience with testing tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Appium, and JMeter
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly document and communicate issues to cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology or related field
• 2+ years of experience in quality assurance or software testing, preferably in the streaming media industry
• Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman or SoapUI
• Strong understanding of streaming protocols and codecs such as HLS, MPEG-DASH, and H.264
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
