About the Job:

The QA Test Engineer I position is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start a career in software testing and learn from experienced professionals. In this role, the test engineer will be performing manual and automated testing on the Restaurant Control Center Application responsible for driving the behavior of tech within Taco Bell stores. This position will allow the ideal candidate to collaborate with many different teams within Taco Bell. The Test Engineer I, QA Engineering will report to the Associate Manager of Quality Assurance and work with a small, agile team of product and development experts.

The Day-to-Day:

• Identify and document software defects and report them to the project and development team.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure quality software releases by participating in Agile development processes and daily stand-up meetings to ensure status updates are provided to the stakeholders on testing progress.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance testing processes and methodologies including increased usage of automation.
• Analyze software requirements and technical design documents, design, develop, and execute manual and automated tests to cover requirements.
• Setup up and maintain test environments and test data as needed.

Is This You?

• Knowledge of automation and scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, etc. is a plus.
• Basic to intermediate SQL skills.
• Good understanding of IT systems, integrations, and configurations.
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills along with good written and verbal communication skills too.
• Experience with Micro services (REST, GraphQL) and AWS cloud-based architecture. AWS services knowledge including but not limited to Lambda, SQS, DynamoDB, CloudWatch, and Step Functions.
• BA/BS degree in Computer Science or Information Technology; or equivalent years of experience

Salary Range: $35.34 to $50.24 hourly + bonus eligibility + equity (if applicable) + benefits
