Title: QA/Manual Test Engineer

Location: Mountain View, CA

WK Schedule: Hybrid to start, 3 days in office (Tue-Thurs)/2 days remote, may move to fully on-premises in future.

Length of Assignment: 1 Year +

Summary:

The QA/Manual Test Engineer will be responsible for test design, test data creation and automation for Web/Mobile applications. Focus customer journey flow with eye for user experience inconveniences for multi-demographic user base. Ensure Test Traceability is established to ensure coverage on sprint stories and features. Collaborate with Operations, Business and Engineering to understand what is to be tested beyond the specifications.

• Manage and update test suites with test additions based on feature updates.
• Responsible for filing bugs identified by automation scripts and tracking bugs to the closure.
• Responsible for participating in requirement analysis and plan for test scenarios preparation (any involvement in writing Test Plan).
• Responsible for sending reports and analysis of the automation results.
• Collaborate with internal partners. Web site to check out page. Work with all team involved.
• Responsible for performing root cause analysis for bugs and improving coverage based on the outcome.
• Make sure they have experience highlighting risks to the program.

Job Requirements:

• A good knowledge of Internet/Web Technologies such as dashboards and monitoring tools is a plus.
• Ability to analyze user experience and functional behavior of Web/Mobile Apps to raise bugs/gaps.
• Experience in writing automation scripts to test Web UI and/or Mobile App is a plus.
• Must have good problem-solving skills. Debug frontend code.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills to represent QA team in feature review meetings.
• 6+ years of testing experience, lead efforts with offshore team, pushback as needed. Strong understanding of customer priorities.
• IOS and Android awareness preferred.
• Education: bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or related field.

Top Skills Summary:

• Strong experience with Selenium or Cypress highly preferred.
• Must have sharp eye for detail for optimal customer experience.
• Must be strong with writing test plans from scratch. Must be able to be given a new feature and write a comprehensive plan on what needs to be tested.
• Responsible for performing root cause analysis for bugs and improving coverage based on the outcome.
• Any Java, JavaScript, HTML, and SQL knowledge is nice to have.
• Must be comfortable working with cross functional teams and leading efforts.
• Must have a strong awareness of testing practices.
• Experience with iOS and Android.
