Who Are You : Our software engineering team is looking for a QA Engineer to take charge of writing automated tests, documenting requirements, and writing acceptance criteria. We follow an agile development process and we need a motivated QA engineer to help ensure that quality is built into our product along every step of the way.
● At least one year experience using the Cypress front-end testing tool.
● Experience as a QA engineer in an agile software development process.
● Experience with automated test suites and organizing tests in a structured way.
● Experience writing acceptance criteria (Given/When/Then).
● Great organizational skills.
● Tremendous attention to detail.
● Familiarity with Ruby and Rspec is a plus.
About the Role: As a QA engineer at RVshare, you will be given a large amount of responsibility. You will be entrusted to get out ahead of bugs before they happen and ask thoughtful questions to ensure the product is well built. You will be part of a full-stack development team and report to an engineering manager. Our technology stack is Ruby on Rails and ReactJS. We use Github for repository hosting, CircleCI for continuous integration testing, and AWS for infrastructure.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
● Write acceptance criteria for features to be developed.
● Write automated tests that capture the full user experience.
● Work with product managers to help understand and clarify behavior for features to be developed.
● Communicate with developers to ensure their code behaves according to the acceptance criteria. ● Triage bugs reported from the support team and document expected behavior for developers.
● Participate in regular code reviews and provide constructive feedback to the development team. ● Collaborate with the development team to ensure the quality and reliability of software releases.
