Qa And Sqf Practitioner

Food manufacturing facility is looking for a QA and SQF Practitioner to assist in the various roles within the company. The facility is located in the metro area of Charleston, SC. Hours are Monday through Friday 8am-5pm. Weekends and major holidays off. The daily responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to the responsibilities as follows.

QA and SQF Practitioner Responsibilities:

-Maintain and develop quality management systems and procedures which support our Global Food Safety Initiative, (GFSI), Safe Quality Food (SQF) compliance.

-Work with the production supervisor to provide and document staff training.

-Maintain a list of corrective actions, non-conforming raw materials and finished goods, and deviations.

-Monitor daily and weekly list for food safety and quality control systems to ensure compliance with SQF policies.

-Evaluate and update the food safety plan as needed.

-Fulfill role as PCQI on site.

-Develop specifications for existing and new products.

-Assist in R&D of new formulas.

-Coordinate procurement of current and new raw materials.

-Participate in third party food safety audits.

-Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to logistics and food safety.

-Other duties as requested.

Required:

-QA/QC experience in a food manufacturing environment.

-HACCP certified.

-PCQI certified with experience in FSMA regulations.

-SQF Practitioner with experience in implementing and maintaining an SQF certification.

-Ability to attain an Acidified Food Manufacturer Certification.

-At least two years of experience in a food manufacturing environment.

-Knowledge of Microsoft Office.

-Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.
