Principal Duties
Plans, organizes, directs, and controls activities related to the procurement function. Prepares instructions regarding purchasing systems and procedures. Analyzes market and delivers conditions to determine present and future material availability. Prepares month-end PPV report for finance and supply chain departments. Supports systems to evaluate vendors to ensure quality, price, delivery, and service. Reviews purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to company policy. Assigns procurement requests to the appropriate personnel. Oversees all activities related to procurement of a commodity, from intent to purchase through delivery of commodity. Interacts with Engineering and Quality departments on new products and/or revisions to existing products as well as quality parts. Continuous improvement of purchasing department KPI’s, manage, develop, motivate and ensure training for entire purchasing team.
Requirements

• 5 years of related experience required including negotiation skills
• Lean/six sigma certification preferred
• Bachelor’s degree and CPM certification highly preferred
• Knowledge of Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software
• Manage, develop, motivate and ensure training for purchasing team
• SAP proficiency preferred
• Continues improvement of purchasing department KPI’s
