Purchasing Analyst
Fastly is looking for a proactive, detail-oriented and service-focused Purchasing Analyst to play a vital role in growing Fastly’s newly created Procurement Team. Reporting to the head of Strategic Procurement, this position will assist internal customers with creating purchase requests, completing risk reviews and partnering with all teams across Fastly to purchase goods and services to fuel Fastly’s continued growth. The Purchasing Analyst will not only play a fundamental role in building our Procurement team, but will also have a unique opportunity to learn every aspect of Fastly’s business from the inside out.
What You'll Do

• Delight internal customers and business partners through excellent customer service
• Align purchasing practices to support of Fastly’s overall business strategy
• Maintain database of all supplier contract metadata
• Track monthly Procurement Team metrics and maintain the team's dashboard for senior leadership and board review. Metrics to include time to supplier onboarding, time to contract signature, savings targets etc.
• Purchasing Process Administration
• Create and maintain purchasing documentation including training videos, communications
• Contract Management/Administration
• Coordinate with both internal and external stakeholders to manage supplier offboarding process
• Guide all internal purchase requests for third-party suppliers through our Risk Review process to optimize efficiency, accuracy and throughput
• Be an expert in our Risk Review process and administer the contract review process by partnering with the legal, contracts, IT Security and Business partner teams
• Review new supplier onboarding requests to ensure accuracy and maintain an organized supplier database
• Supplier Management

• This position will require you to be available during core business hours

Basic Qualifications
What We're Looking For

• Proficient with Excel and Google Sheets, e.g. formulas like XLOOKUP/SUMIFS, pivot tables, presentable formatting
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
• A sense of curiosity and desire to learn everyday
• 3+ years of related experience in a Sourcing, Procure-to-Pay or Paralegal function
• Experience working with cross-functional teams across the entire organization including multiple time zones and diverse geographical locations
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills partnered with a passion for details
• The ability to interact and build relationships across all levels of the organization
• A highly-motivated, self-starter who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and can adjust quickly to changing priorities

Preferred Qualifications

• Read and understand contracts (i.e., able to identify auto renewal language, term start / end dates, termination obligations, etc.)
• Experience in the Software/Technology industry
• Experience with Source-to-Pay Systems (e.g. Coupa, Ariba)

Work Location(s) & Travel Requirements
This position is based out of Fastly’s Denver office. Fastly currently embraces a largely hybrid model for most roles which allows employees flexibility to split their time between the office and home.
This position may require travel as required by your role or requested by your manager.
Salary
The estimated salary range for this position is $83,220 to $122,380.
Starting salary may vary based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, and location.
This role may be eligible to participate in Fastly’s equity and discretionary bonus programs.
