Public Health Analyst (Women's Health)

Regions 9 (San Francisco) and 10 (Seattle)


The Office of Regional Health Operations within the HHS Office of the Assistant Secretary for Health (OASH) is seeking motivated and highly-qualified candidates for exciting positions available in multiple locations throughout the United States.


The Office of Regional Health Operations (ORHO) promotes and advances the public health and safety of the American people by connecting people, convening local partners, establishing networks, and providing public policy and programming recommendations that best address the needs of the population. As a Public Health Analyst for women’s health, you will:

  • Analyze existing public health data, programs, and policies to advise senior-level management on public health policies, operations, products, and services,
  • Develop and formulate short- and long-range public health program goals and objectives,
  • Plan, manage, evaluate, and report on assigned public health programs, projects, or activities and make recommendations for efficient and effective operations,
  • Assist in developing new or revised program methods, organizational structures, and technologies to carry out program objectives,
  • Coordinate high-level, collaborative projects with a broad range of stakeholders, including governmental and non-governmental organizations from multiple sectors at the community, state, and national levels.
  • Serve on a regional team to plan and operate public health projects and activities,


The ideal candidate for this position is ready for an opportunity to join a regional office team to plan and implement projects and initiatives to address health disparities and advance health equity for women and girls. While not required, the ideal candidate would possess experience in working on public health and health equity issues related to the health and well-being of vulnerable populations and communities including racial and ethnic minorities, and have knowledge and familiarity in more than one of the following public health areas: HIV/STIs, behavioral health (including mental health, SUD/OUD prevention, harm reduction, and treatment), maternal health, environmental justice/climate change, and immunization.
