We are seeking highly skilled Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners with a child and adolescent focus to join our team of over 40 clinicians and growing (https://quinceorchardpsychotherapy.com). The PMHNP must be independently licensed in Maryland for a min. of 2 years with a valid DEA and CDS and be in good standing. This position is primarily telehealth, but can also be hybrid at one of our locations (Rockville, Frederick)

We have immediate case loads available with motivated clients! With a robust administrative and billing support team, providers can do what they enjoy most - working with clients.

Our most common referrals are for Anxiety, Depression, and ADHD, but we do serve some patients recovering from Bipolar Disorder and Substance Abuse and we have found that PMHNP's who have versatility regarding ages and diagnoses served provide the best value to our clientele.

The desire and ability to collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team is paramount. Our intake appointments are 60 minutes long and follow up medication checks are 15-20 minutes. You will have the support of a Medical Assistant for scheduling and prescription refills. There is no on-call schedule per se, but every once in awhile you may need to support a patient in distress outside of normal business hours. Our target productivity goal would be 30+ patient hours per week, but we are open to exceptional part-time candidates as well.

Given that this is a remote position, we are seeking a professional who is self-motivated and capable of working fairly independently. You will have access to individual and group case consultation as needed. Being timely with documentation and response to phone calls and emails is really important to us for good customer service. If you are grouchy and disorganized, we will not be a good match :)

Requirements
Education and Experience

• Must be able to become credentialed with Medicare and other commercial payors.
• Registered with the State of Maryland (CDS) and DEA for unrestricted prescription writing privileges
• State of Maryland Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner license
• Experienced in providing Telepsych is a plus.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Demonstrate critical thinking, problem-solving and conflict resolution
• Expert clinical judgment and the ability to be self-directed and demonstrate initiative in an expanded role
• Minimum of 2 years psychiatric experience as a PMHNP in an outpatient practice setting
• Experience with children, adolescents, and adults necessary
• Effective oral and written communication with staff, patients and community providers
• Previous experience assessing and providing medication management for patients with behavioral health disorders in a psychiatric or primary care setting
