Provider Engagement Specialist – May 2023
Position Summary:
Second Wind Fund (SWF) is a 501(c)(3) Colorado-based nonprofit organization whose mission is to reduce the incidence of suicide in children and youth by removing the financial and social barriers to treatment. SWF services are provided across Colorado. Since 2002, SWF has provided life-saving services to over 8,000 Colorado youth.
SWF is seeking a full-time position - 40 hours per week. This position will be based in Denver, with the ability to work remotely. Join a small and growing organization with a life-saving mission!
The primary role of the Provider Engagement Specialist (PES) is to maintain a strong and equitable provider network through engaging retention strategies. The PES will report to the Program Director.
Principal Responsibilities:
·Collaborate with Community Managers to ensure efficient on-boarding of new providers.
·Manage the onboarding paperwork of potential new providers (therapists) by reviewing qualifications of licensure, liability, good standing with DORA, background checks, mail out new provider packages, etc.
·Guiding providers through onboarding and updating information processes. Additionally, as necessary through any other processes that relate to becoming a SWF provider or remaining a current provider.
·Manage the maintenance of Services Agreements with community mental health agencies and other organizations for signature by Executive Director.
·Building quality relationships with providers through clear communication and timely follow- up to ensure the program’s success.
·Manage provider benefits program to build community and work towards our mission of better supporting youth and those that serve youth through continued training, community support, etc.
·Oversee the billing and claim process for the entire network ensuring accurate, efficient, and dependable payment processing for providers.
·Implement dashboards, workflows, and weekly reports to support potential grant funding and to increase internal data accuracy.
·Create the monthly newsletter with announcements internally, feature upcoming trainings, and spread awareness of future SWF events providers can get involved with.
·Participate in community outreach including local community events, committee meetings, summits, conferences, etc. related to suicide prevention and youth mental health.
·Perform other tasks as assigned by the Program Director and Executive Director.
Qualifications and Requirements:
·Bachelor’s Degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or related area. Related work experience may be substituted for education requirement on a year for year basis.
·At least three years of experience with non-profits, mental health, human services, and/or related field.
·Sensitivity to HIPAA-related issues and previous clinical experience.
·Experience navigating insurance within the mental health field.
·Experience with Zoho, CRMs or other similar databases.
·Knowledge and experience in the mental health field and suicide-related issues as well as resources related to mental health services. Position requires small and large presentations on suicide prevention and Second Wind Fund to both public and specialist audiences.
·Ability to work remotely in a timely and professional manner.
·Microsoft Office Suite software proficiency and knowledge of internet and database applications.
·Demonstrated commitment to advancing SWF’s Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging efforts.
·Able to legally work in the United States of America.

·This is a full-time, salary (exempt) position based in the Denver SWF office.

Salary Range: $50,000 - $55,000 - DOE
