Colorado Public Radio (CPR) is seeking a Data Specialist.
About the Position:
The Data Specialist is a key member of the fundraising team, responsible for data processing and record maintenance. This position helps their fundraising team members access accurate and timely donor and donation information. The Data Specialist also helps with data process development and continuing to improve record keeping systems. An average day may start with checking our payment systems to make sure that all online donations are processed as intended. Next, the Data Specialist would look for checks and credit card donations to be processed. While entering these into the proper systems, the Data Specialist will ensure records are kept up to date by making any necessary updates to biographical information, adjusting donor communication preferences, and handling similar tasks. After this, the Data Specialist may move on to data maintenance tasks like cleaning up duplicate records, recurring donation updates and similar quality control projects.
This is not a remote position. Our Data Specialist is expected to reside in the Denver Metro area upon starting.
About You:
You’re a trustworthy person who understands data discretion and confidentiality. You enjoy digging into details to help solve problems. You’re motivated by ensuring clean, accurate data is maintained as you know it helps your organization succeed. You’re process focused and a great self-starter. You have top notch customer service skills and a talent for collaboration and closed-loop communication.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Our preferred qualifications are: Direct experience with Salesforce and prior financial processing experience.
- A minimum of 4 - 6 years of relevant experience with data entry, data hygiene, and data processing best practices. This should include experience handling data discreetly and confidentially.
- Previous experience using Salesforce or a similar CRM is required.
- Demonstrated experience with problem solving regarding data projects.
- A proven ability to work collaboratively, meet deadlines and prioritize requests.
Education Equivalency:
- High School or GED degree is required. A fully relevant bachelors degree may replace some of the minimum years of experience required.
