Position Overview:

We are looking for a skilled Proposal Manager with a minimum of 4 years of experience in proposal development, preferably in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry or a related field. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing and producing successful proposals, strong editing and writing skills, knowledge in using AI for written content, and a holistic marketing mindset. Additionally, experience in social media coordination is a plus. We are seeking individuals who have a hunger to be a part of a start-up and support its growth. In this role, you will work on proposals for multiple clients and multiple brands and will be client-facing, requiring a professional demeanor with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities:

1. Proposal Development: Lead the end-to-end proposal development process, including planning, coordination, writing, editing, and production.

2. Teamwork: Work with a team of graphic designers and editors, providing guidance and support throughout the proposal process.

3. Client Research: Conduct research with clients to help understand end-user needs, preferences, and objectives, ensuring proposals are tailored to the recipient.

4. Content Creation: Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop compelling and persuasive proposal content, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and alignment with client expectations.

5. Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during proposal development, maintaining a professional demeanor and strong communication skills.

6. Proposal Strategy: Develop proposal strategies that emphasize the unique value proposition of our services and differentiate our clients from competitors.

7. Holistic Marketing Support: Work alongside our website management team and social media coordinators to ensure clients receive full marketing support in their pursuits.

8. Quality Assurance: Review and edit proposal documents for grammar, style, and adherence to brand guidelines.

9. AI Content Expertise: Utilize knowledge in using AI for written content to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of proposal development.

10. Resource Management: Coordinate with various teams, including graphic designers and marketing professionals, to gather necessary resources for proposal production.

11. Deadline Adherence: Ensure proposals are submitted on time and meet all client requirements.

12. Document Management: Maintain a repository of proposal templates, content, and best practices for continuous improvement.

13. Performance Analysis: Analyze the success rates of proposals, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance the proposal process.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.

- Minimum of 4 years of experience in proposal management, with a strong preference for experience in the AEC industry or similar.

- Previous experience in a senior coordinator role or higher within a proposal team.

- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

- Strong editing and writing skills.

- Knowledge in using AI for written content.

- Strong project management and organizational skills.

- Proficiency in proposal management software and tools.

- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

- Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high-quality work.

- Experience in social media coordination is a plus.

Location: We are based in Chicago, Denver, and Orlando and prefer a hybrid hire who can work with our local teams, but we are open to a remote team member for the right candidate.
