As a Property Management Accountant on the BackOffice team, a typical day for you will include:
  • Train and support franchise owners and staff in industry software (AppFolio), accounting practices, and procedures. This is a significant responsibility, as it requires the ability to train and support others on complex financial topics.
  • Process check runs for assigned accounts three times/month or as circumstances require. This is a regular task that requires attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Complete monthly trust account balancing. This is an important task that ensures that the trust accounts are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Prepare/review and assist with bank account reconciliations. This is another important task that ensures that the bank accounts are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Analyze financial information detailing income, expenses, assets, and liabilities and prepare a balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports to summarize the current and projected company financial position. This is a complex task that requires the ability to analyze financial data and prepare reports.
(Required Qualifications)

  • Working knowledge of property management software is a plus. (AppFolio, Propertyware)

  • Skills:
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Mastery of MS Office
  • Education: Associate degree in accounting or general business
  • Schedule / in-office requirements: Remote
  • Problem-solving
  • Generally accepted accounting principles within the business environment
  • Proven ability to train others
  • Proven ability to use property management software to manage properties efficiently and effectively.
  • Ability to stay organized and on track.
  • Enthusiastic learner with a positive attitude
  • Experience: 2-3 years of property management accounting
  • Ability to pay attention to the smallest details.
