Summary: Sevan is currently seeking a Project Safety Manager to join our team. As the Project Safety Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing safety performance and risk reduction as an agent of the client. You will ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including the Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA), EM-385-1, and the Department of Transportation (DOT) and client-specific safety standards. The Project Safety Manager will accomplish this by providing safety oversight of all construction operations, assisting with developing risk control plans, performing safety inspections, and supporting supervisors and other staff to ensure compliance with governmental and client policies. This is a full-time opportunity for the duration of the project.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Ensure required safety training is conducted and documented.
• Work closely with the Project Manager, General Contractor, and Subcontractors to ensure the implementation of safety standards and client safety policies, including developing Risk Assessments/Registers, Job Hazard Analysis, and Safety Communications.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Identify non-compliance trends and implement corrective actions.
• Assist and collaborates with the project team in investigating all safety incidents to determine the root cause, implement corrective actions, and complete reports as required.
• Conduct routine safety inspections and analyze results.
• Track and maintain project safety performance data and develop reports.
• Clarify safety regulations and standards and provide technical expertise and solutions to safety challenges onsite.

Qualifications

• ASP/CHST/CSP/OSHA 500 certification preferred, not required.
• Excellent communication and advisory skills.
• Experience in developing and implementing safety policies and procedures and conducting accident investigations.
• 5-15 years of Commerical Building Construction safety and health experience.
• Proficient in MS Office and Safety Assessment Data Systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational/ Industrial Health and Safety, Engineering or related field. (Accredited BCP/NCEER Safety Certifications and Years of Experience will be considered in lieu of a Bachelor’s Degree.)
