Project Manager JOS2040 - IL


Starting base salary: $80-150K


Summary


The Project Manager is responsible for organizing highly complex activities for the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of Company projects. Other duties may be assigned. Individual will work a varied schedule based on client needs. For the right candidate this can be a remote role.


Responsibilities


  • Perform administrative functions, such as reviewing or writing reports, approving expenditures, enforcing rules, or purchasing of materials or services
  • Attend client meetings to discuss field personnel opportunities; identify client needs and evaluate alternative business solutions
  • Direct, review, or approve project design changes while maintaining communication with field personnel
  • Prepares schedule, present and explain proposals, reports, or findings to clients
  • Receive telephone calls, emails and other correspondence from customers and respond within 24 hours
  • Obtains pricing for materials & bids from suppliers
  • Effective project management: apply company methodology, enforce standards, minimize exposure to risk and ensure completion and accurate storage of finished projects
  • Provide professional guidance to assist coworkers in career and leadership development; inspire coworkers to attain goals and pursue excellence
  • Executes take-offs of construction documents & input take-offs into a computer spreadsheet and prepares matrix for materials needed.
  • Team management: utilize team members to fullest potential, encourage collaboration, mitigate conflict, foster positive communication, acknowledgement and appreciation
  • Manage any project changes, revisions, revised purchase orders and change order documents and make revisions in the software.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and makes constructive suggestions for change; manage the process of innovative change effectively


Requirements


  • Ability to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully and be pleasant and having a confident demeanor when dealing with colleagues and clients
  • Abilities to read blueprints and computer literacy are a must and savvy with Excel & QuickBooks are a HUGE Plus!
  • Prior 3 to 5+ years Door and / or Building Products Industry and or project management experience.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations.
  • Mathematical skills & abilities to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Proficiency with calendar systems, proven ability to manage projects & be efficient and well organized
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, exercise sound judgment and confidentiality
  • Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
