Project Manager Jobs

This position will be responsible for the execution of technical projects to support continuous improvement. This role will report to the Director of KS Operations. The Project Manager will work very closely with both production personnel and other members of management. This position is responsible for deploying, implementing, and leading projects/continuous improvement initiatives and facilitating world class operations management methodologies for the Grandview facilities.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Identifies the highest value projects using 2x calculations
• Conceives, plans, and conducts process improvement and cost-reduction studies on current products and processes.
• Develops and deploys the Grandview Production System
• Value Stream Mapping, Communication and Planning to all levels of the Organization to optimize planning of efficiency and productivity
• Identifies and deploys training and standard work opportunities to sustain improvements
• Identifies, evaluates, justifies, and implements new manufacturing technology into product designs and assembly processes.
• Develop short- and long-term goals for your department to meet objectives.
• Champions safety and works with the team to put safety first throughout the facility
• Collects needed resources to complete projects in agreed timelines
• Maintains plant layout and develops new layout as additional equipment/processes are developed
• Develop and maintain a strong purposeful team supporting the mission-driven culture in line with corporate vision.
• Performs research and development of manufacturing processes including production flow, assembly methods and production equipment.

• Proven leadership experience leading internal and external teams
• General knowledge of production control/scheduling systems

• Ability to manage simultaneous projects
• Strong statistical analysis background and technical problem-solving ability
• Proficiency in using AutoCAD programs
• Excellent organizational skills

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or related discipline (preferred)
• Cabinetry industry experience (preferred)
• Experienced in Lean Six Sigma and 6S Manufacturing principles
• Continuous Improvement/Project Management experience with proven project management experience in delivering timely, cost effective, process improvement driven projects and sound engineering judgment.
