The Risk Governance & Administration (RGA) and Closed Block Executive Office (CBEO) within Risk Management works broadly across all risk types and provides oversight and governance of Prudential’s Closed Block. This role is within the CBEO, which is responsible for managing the issues that impact the Closed Block in order to ensure that the interests of stakeholders are protected in a manner consistent with our regulatory obligations and our business strategy. The CBEO is also responsible for legal entity governance for the Prudential Legacy Insurance Company of New Jersey (PLIC) and the financing facility established to support surplus needs as they arise within PLIC. This position may also have opportunities to support projects within RGA, providing exposure to various risk functions across the Enterprise.
The Associate Manager, Project Management will support day to day business activities and projects related to the oversight and governance of the Closed Block and the PLIC legal entity. Reporting to the Manager, Project Management, this position will interact with points of contacts of varying levels from various areas across the company.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the governance and oversight of the Closed Block by ensuring functional areas comply with the Closed Block’s governing regulatory requirements through the following:
  • Other projects as needed within CBEO and RGA.
  • Support the legal entity governance process for PLIC.
  • Management of the overall calendar of deliverables to key stakeholders deliverables to Risk-Takers as required by the Transaction Documents surplus note increases/decreases as needed quarterly covenant attestations
  • Support efforts to maintain strong awareness of the Closed Block throughout the Company through the CBEO’s knowledge management efforts.
  • Support the PLIC financing facility, including coordinating/supporting the following:
  • Coordinating required governance reporting
  • Support the annual policyholder dividend action process as needed.
  • Review and update SOPs as needed
  • Supporting the annual Agreed Upon Procedures process
Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of Statutory and GAAP accounting principles a plus
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Strong relationship management skills with the ability to partner within a cross-functional environment and achieve results working through others.
  • Excellent communication skills, comfortable with leading, collaborating and executing.
  • Knowledge of the Closed Block a plus.
  • This role will follow a hybrid model schedule (working a few days each month in the Newark, NJ office and remote).
  • Strong planning and organization skills, including the ability to effectively work on multiple processes simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint.
  • 2-5 of related experience
Note: Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $86,300.00 to $128,400.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance. In addition, employees are eligible for standard benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental and retirement.
