We're seeking a Senior Millwork Estimator responsible for providing accurate and timely cost estimates for commercial architectural millwork projects. This role requires effective communication with project managers and executives to develop strategic bids that provide detailed analysis of costs, potential risks, and recommendations. The Senior Millwork Estimator will use project drawings, specifications, and job-specific requirements to develop an accurate estimate of the project costs.


Essential Job Functions:

  • Source and qualify project-related vendors and suppliers.
  • Participate in scope review meetings with customers to demonstrate their knowledge of the project and expertise in the millwork industry.
  • Identify, record, and convey the project-related scope of work and specifications.
  • Provide project cost estimates using industry practices and experiences.
  • Develop strategic bids that comprehensively analyze costs, alternative materials, potential risks, and recommendations. This includes the presentation of data to the Executives.
  • Confirm and justify all costs applied to an estimate.
  • Document errors, omissions, and ambiguities found in bid documents.


Secondary Job Functions:

  • Prepare reports and estimate documentation for participation in project hand-off meetings.
  • Price and review change order requests.
  • Comprehend job cost records and their estimating application.


Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under time pressure and prioritize.
  • BlueBeam experience is a plus.
  • Exceptional knowledge and expertise within the millwork industry in the shop and field.
  • Ability to read blueprints, interior design, and architectural drawings.
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field required; or a combination of industry experience and education.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in millwork, carpentry, drywall, or similar industry.
