Position Summary

The primary responsibility of this position is to provide engineering development and support on small to medium-sized projects and/or individual components of larger more complex projects under guidance of Project Engineering Manager and more experienced project engineers.

LOCATION

  • Role provides the opportunity to work in hybrid environment, working both virtually and in office when required.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Review technical proposals, equipment evaluations and sourcing.
  • Review product design for compliance with engineering principles, applicable standards (ISO, API and ANSI), contract requirements and related specifications.
  • Interface with customers and other project managers (both internal & external) and provide engineering status and progress reports.
  • Ensure all designs are of compatible materials and components taking into consideration environmental requirements.
  • Conduct product testing and offshore field operations of hardware (as needed).
  • Participate in design reviews and presentations with internal and external customers.
  • Prepare technical procedures (i.e. factory acceptance test, load test procedure, etc.) and technical specifications (i.e. scope of supply, master document list, design specification, etc.).
  • Check manufacturing drawings.
  • Effectively work and complete assignments in group settings. Works cooperatively with others to achieve common goals.
  • Perform conceptual design work, engineering calculations, and interpret analysis results.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering (or related engineering discipline).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications.
  • 0-2 years of engineering experience.

DESIRED

  • Mechanical design, including materials selection, weldment design, structural design, mechanisms design, design for machining/assembly.
  • Understanding of Engineering Fundamentals, including structures, pressure vessel design and stress calculations
  • Hydraulic design, including understanding subsea pressure/flow.
  • Working Knowledge of Primavera, AutoCad, MathCad, Solidworks, Product Life Management (PLM).

  • Ability to work in a team environment, remaining attentive to ideas, recognizing responsibilities, and actively participating with others to accomplish assignments and achieve desired goals.
Additional Information

This position is Hybrid - Remote and will require commuting to a designated office. Hybrid work schedules are determined by the hiring manager based on business need.
