Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

Primary responsibilities are to assist the PMO with setup, coordination, and maintenance of project schedules, MRP transactions, project timekeeping, project reporting, and resource forecasting. Project Coordinator will support assigned projects, programs and initiatives of low to medium complexity applying project management expertise to support the company and group’s strategy. This includes developing SOW, business proposals, project plan with milestones and financials. Successfully collaborate with multi-functional groups for implementation of Jabil’s strategies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Prepare internal and external project status reportsd.
  • Maintain a throrough understanding of scope, budget, deliverables, schedule, and resources for every project assigned.
  • Facilitate communication as appropriate to all stakeholders. This includes escalating issues to the next level of management.
  • Manage resource availability and allocation for each assigned project.
  • Compare forward forecast results to historical actual results for trend assessment and analysis.
  • Prepare timely forecasts for projects to be reviewed by PMO.
  • Setup, administer, and close-out projects and tasks in the web-based timekeeping system.
  • Forecast quarterly and annual projects where applicable.
  • Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals.
  • Ensure that users log project hours within established deadlines and in compliance with timekeeping policy.
  • Create and maintain project schedules in MS Project.
  • Responsible to manage individual projects including: project scope, project schedule and project costs.
  • Manage the relationship with the Customer and all appropriate stakeholders – internal and external.
  • Prepare regular project updates to project team and relevant departments.
  • Establish and maintain communications with both customer personnel and senior management as needed.
  • Manage the overall budget of assigned projects.
  • Forecast project budget and staffing needs for current and future site needs.
  • Use and continually develop leadership skills.
  • Assist Finance and PMO in monthly close-out activities.
  • Is proactive in resolving issues with projects, timekeeping, and SAP transactions.
  • Utilize tools to track changes and identify cost impact for review with senior management.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
  • Setup, administer, and close-out projects in SAP.

MANAGEMENT & SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Reports to PMO.
  • Job is not directly responsible for managing other employees (e.g., hiring/termination and/or pay decisions, performance).

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS


  • Experience working in a Project Management environment required.
  • Organize verbal and written ideas clearly and use an appropriate business style.
  • Experience with SAP or another ERP/MRP system required.
  • Experience coordinating multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in use of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Project required.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from maagment, engineering, and customers.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS


  • Bachelor’s Degree required.Master’s Degree preferred.
  • 2-4 years of experience in project management required.
