Job Description

This position is responsible for overseeing a project through due diligence, design, and permitting phases of the pre-development process for each project. The ideal candidate for this role is an organized multi-tasker that can consistently work within established timelines and is able to simultaneously hold accountable multiple consultants and municipal staff professionals to ensure that project deadlines may be met.


Responsibilities

  • Other projects and duties as assigned by management
  • Coordinate with other PSP teams throughout a project’s development process (Site Selection, Construction, New Store Openings and Finance teams)
  • Participate in meetings and work with land use attorneys, city planners, governmental agencies, and local jurisdictions to achieve approvals
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other consultants to meet client objectives and deadlines
  • Prepare professional and effective project reporting deliverables to clients and corporate entities
  • Understand and manage the entitlement reviews and requirements for each project
  • Distribute reports to necessary parties such as legal counsel, architect, engineers, property seller’s and/or buyers
  • Build and maintain excellent relationships with consultants, government agencies, and other project proponents
  • Assist in regular reporting of project statuses and third-party approvals in our software and provide updates to other teams and clients
  • Communicate effectively with Construction Project Managers and General Contractors to ensure permit requirements are being met during construction
  • Manage the request for proposals and review of due diligence reports
  • Prepare permit applications, submittals, and associated documents to obtain final permits and approvals for project development in coordination with the architects and engineers


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Must be able to use and acquire knowledge of a variety of computer software applications. Must be proficient in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and use of the Internet.
  • Experience in project management
  • Ability to multi-task and meet strict deadlines
  • Ability to prepare client facing reports and deliverables
  • Real estate or construction experience preferred
  • Excellent organizational skills
