Duties


Summary


You will serve as a Program Specialist, supporting assigned program(s) by providing strategic analysis and evaluation for the IT Procurement Office. As a Program Specialist, you will be responsible for the management of information communication focusing on sponsors and stakeholders, including communication with education and public outreach, and assessing of a wide variety of program communication requirements, and providing recommendation plans to meet those requirements.

Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. To qualify for GS-11, you must have: a) One year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 level: Developing, implementing, and providing deliverables for strategic activities, such as a catalog for services provided by the organization for information technology projects, evaluations and analysis; Providing end-user community support during new technology solution deployments; Identifying efficient solutions for new technology rollout, installation upgrades, or technology infrastructure changes, and communicating recommendations to leadership and customers. OR b) Completed all requirements for a doctoral degree (i.e., Ph.D. or equivalent) in an appropriate field OR c) Completed 3 full academic years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. degree or equivalent doctoral degree in an appropriate field OR d) LL.M., if related OR e) Have an equivalent combination of experience and graduate study as discussed in a), b), c) and d) above To qualify for GS-12, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level: Providing information on group projects, such as initiatives to implement commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) products and components, throughout an assigned customer organization; Preparing and presenting status reports to customers, and providing information technology guidance on project related issues; Designing and developing tools to streamline the program processes and creating a more efficient distribution of information and tools for the end user of the program, such as assisting customers with supply chain requirements.
