Supervisory Accountant (Direct Hire)

Duties

Summary

Serves as a Supervisory Accountant. This position reports to the Deputy Chief Financial Officer (DCFO) for Finance and is responsible for executing funds control and accounting responsibilities related to appropriation integrity, timelines of transactions, and compliance with NASA and Federal policies and regulations. Responsible for assuring the accuracy and consistency of financial information reflected in financial records and systems.

Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. To qualify for GS-15, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level: developing and recommending revisions to existing or new internal controls, accounting, financial reporting, financial policies, processes, or procedures; serving as a lead to address policy issues that have a major impact on an organization, contractors, or the public; and leading accounting system changes for accounting and financial management effectiveness.
