Job Description

The Department of Global Pediatric Medicine (GPM) is a growing department looking for professionals who are eager to help implement the St. Jude Global (SJG) mission of training the clinical workforce, developing and strengthening health systems and patient-centered initiatives, and advancing knowledge to sustain continuous improvement through research.  

The Program Mgr plans and manages projects and/or programs, resource requirements, training needs, deliverables, and manages the design and testing of projects, inclusive of data management. May provide statistical analyses of quality improvement data.

 

The Asia Pacific Program Manager is responsible for:

  • Tracking program and project success
  • Leading the planning and execution of the regional program including defining objectives, approaches, goals, governance mechanisms, resource deployment, periodic reviews, contingency planning and periodic reporting and communication
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams internally and externally to achieve defined outcomes aligned with departmental and programmatic strategies
  • Providing more complex analysis of data to create reports for senior leadership
  • Driving internal stakeholder management and communications, managing external vendors, and partnering with stakeholders inside and outside the institution
  • Providing oversight and management of program budgets, through planning, control and tracking of expenditures

 

Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Office Products) with the ability to create reports and presentations 
  • Flexibility to travel (estimated up to 20%) for on-site facilitation, as needed
  • Independent, detail oriented and self-motivated with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to carry out broad assignments with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong, credible relationships and teams across an organization
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities
  • Adaptable problem-solving skills, able to analyze and synthesize new information quickly
  • Cultural sensitivity is a must
  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic environment

  • Experience providing guidance and mentorship within program management team.
  • Experience designing and managing programs with focus on customer needs.
  • Some experience driving continuous program improvement projects.
  • Minimum Experience: 4+ years experience in program management and delivery.
  • Proven experience engaging with senior leaders to facilitate decision making.
  • Experience in program budget tracking, reporting and risk management.
