Program Manager - Unmanned Vehicles

Pratt Miller is looking for an experienced Program Manager to join the Robotics program team. Robotics programs encompass ground based unmanned mobile platform design and development, ranging from small robots to 10 Ton robots. Variants cover a range of different technical content; tracked, wheeled, fully electric, hybrid, diesel engine, hydrogen fuel cell range extension, optionally manned, waypoint following, and fully autonomous. The Program Manager leads project team activities to ensure customer satisfaction while achieving individual project goals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a Program Manager you will be responsible for full project lifecycle activities, to include:

Project Planning

• Coordinate with matrix departments to develop project planning of tasks, deliverables, schedules, resources, roles and responsibilities, risks, and communication plans
• Work with technical leads to develop detailed project team structure
• Develop project financial plans
• Develop project budgets, schedules, and tasks using work breakdown structure

Project Execution

• Coordinate product build strategy, timing, and execution with the build team
• Ensure invoices are submitted in accordance to plans and updated in company business systems
• Coordinate and lead status meetings with project teams to review and actively manage project tasks, deliverables, schedules, resources, roles & responsibilities, risk mitigations, and communication plans
• Maintain Program Management Review status using standard tools and reports
• Maintain cost and revenue status and forecasting
• Present Program Management Reviews as scheduled to executive leadership
• Coordinate and facilitate status meetings with the customer teams

Project Deliverables and Wrap-Up

• Ensure all project deliverables meet or exceed customer timing and quality expectations
• Lead internal project close-out reviews in accordance with company SOP

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

In addition to the responsibilities mentioned above, tasks relating to the following areas will be assigned as required:

• Support Program Management Office on process developments and improvements
• Support Business Development and Marketing with external facing communications, conferences and meetings

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

• Strong leadership and management skills
• Experience with vehicle systems in automotive, defense, or agriculture
• Ability to work in a multi-tasking fast paced environment
• 5+ years of experience serving in the role of program or project manager
• Knowledge and experience in project cost estimating, budgeting, and resource allocation
• Strong background in MS Word, Excel, MS Project and PowerPoint
• BS in Engineering is preferred
• Experience in project and program management methodology and techniques

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Long hours may be required at times
• Stress may occur periodically
• Travel may be required
