Program Manager (Non IT) III

San Jose, CA

PAyrate : $72 • $82 per hour on W2

Responsible for support of large programs, and creating appropriate documentation, including but not limited to: agendas, minutes, and capturing accomplishments. Develops supporting documentation and monitors timeliness and scheduled resources for projects, develops & reports on project metrics, project planning & scheduling, collation and alignment of status reports, and ensures compliance with practices, policies, procedures, goals of project sponsors, and approved methodologies.

The client North America Collectibles team is looking for a Program Manager, who can be a key driver for projects on our Collectibles team. Success in this role is defined by taking ownership and leadership of the projects, effective communication with stakeholders, defining the right project goals, and driving projects forward through completion despite risks and issues that will arise. Ideal candidates will look to organize the work, frequently prioritize, communicate often, and flag risks/ issues with recommended solutions for quick resolution.

You will be joining as a program manager responsible for leading new launches end-to-end into the market including cross-functional partner collaboration. Success in this role entails detailed project management of all deliverables and owners, professional and clear communication with peers and executives, and acting as a collaborative and optimistic teammate ready to address barriers creatively and help progress initiatives on track to meet business goals. You are organized, comfortable running meetings, a strong collaborator, and extremely detail oriented. Weekly status updates, work back plans, SOPs, issue trackers, and juggling many workstreams at once are areas you excel in and enjoy managing. This will also be a high visibility role, with participation in global strategic meetings, as such comfort articulating progress and challenges will be critical while keeping a keen eye on delivering the best experiences for both our buyers and sellers.

Your specific duties as a program manager will include:

  • Cross-functional and Partner Leadership: Onboard and support new strategic vendors and suppliers helping to build training materials, establish reporting and communication plans, and serving as a bridge where needed between the business unit and cross-functional partners
  • Responsible for building a work-back plan for critical initiatives, identifying key landmarks, deadlines, and decisions to be made hosted through consistent communication channels and meeting forums
  • Responsible for leading financial objectives and scorecard development/management, and building/maintaining project-level financial models while developing executive-level dashboarding
  • Develop robust tools and processes for leading project management including necessary dashboard and planning activities including key operational and financial metrics
  • Deliver Results with high Accountability: Conduct troubleshooting with vendors and cross-functional teams when necessary to overcome obstacles and to determine solutions as topics arise, and work to deliver all initiatives on time. Will have some travel to vendors, partners, and sellers
  • Participate and lead regular cross-functional update meetings ensuring all partners are aligned with new developments and are set up for success and KPIs are tracked and measured against
  • Support business case development on new initiatives, providing substantiated support for key initiative prioritization, and updates necessary as program progression and takeaways occur

Qualifications:

  • Structured thinker that can break down ambiguous problems into executable solutions
  • 6+ years in project management, PMP certification is a plus
  • Excellent organizational and written/verbal communication skills
  • Proven track record leading multiple priorities simultaneously with minimum guidance
  • High level of comfort with analytical approaches and quantitative methods. Advanced Excel skills including financial modeling a plus.
  • Strong interest and understanding of Internet and e-commerce business. Marketplace experience is a plus.
  • Proven diligent executor that can inspire cross-functional teams, delivering experiences at the client's scale. Strong communication, presentation, and organizational skills
  • Committed, independent, self-starter comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Passion for the trading cards and collectibles space
  • BS/BA degree
