Job Description
Summary
Responsible for coordination, execution and status reporting of complex, cross-functional and cross OpCo programs with a large technology component. Leads large project efforts and manages issue resolution across all phases of Cross OpCo operational programs. Leads the development of business value delivery roadmaps, financial analysis, change management and operational execution. Ensures all project deliverables are in compliance with FedEx processes. Establishes and implements project management processes and methodologies for the department.Collects, analyzes, and produces financial and performance indicators and forecasts.
To provide appropriate specifications for and coordination of programs that cross department/division lines.

  • Interfaces with third party vendors
  • Demonstrated solutions based thinking with the ability to break down complex concepts into understandable, smaller and sequential deliverables
  • Experience leading a product launch from "0 to 1", and optimizing it for "1 to many" in your portfolio. A focus on scale with the flexibility to adapt in a constantly evolving environment. Experienced in partnering with and bringing multiple departments into alignment.
  • Bonus points for experience within high-growth tech startup.
  • Identifies and tracks costs and KPIs
  • Develops and manages communications and organizational change management materials for strategic programs
  • Strong influencing skills to guide leadership, Business Architects, Product Owners, Agile Release Trains, and all stakeholders to understand vision, resources, priorities and definition of completion/release
  • Develops business justifications for operational capability sequencing, requiring an Enterprise systems perspective of complex engineering and technology dependencies
  • Strong ability to tailor communications of complex concepts to all levels in an understandable manner Business acumen and ability to understand the larger company strategy Fedex experience preferred
  • Drives continuous improvement projects to optimize operations and improve productivity to meet and exceed business objectives; works on strategic projects that have total building and network-wide impact.
  • Manages risk assessment and internal control processes specific to strategic program infrastructure
  • Ability to manage competing demands while maintaining out of the box thinking Well-versed in agile product development life cycle (PDLC) and/or software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies. Experience leading complex projects.
  • Prepares content for on-going Executive/Senior Officer Steering Committees
  • Strong internal communication skills: Able to communicate complex data in a simple format to share decisions, process updates and tradeoffs to large audiences (i.e. in-person meetings, asynchronous meetings, email, and/or shared live docs). Process-driven with a bias toward action.
  • Develops narrative for Leadership to champion business transformation
Minimum
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree/equivalent in business or related quantitative discipline.
  • Demonstrated analytical, organizational, and planning skills.
  • Experience in the use of project management/planning software.
  • Experience in planning major projects including development of project proposals, business cases, schedules and financial justification.
  • Five (5) years exempt experience in project/program management, product development, systems design/development or business /financial planning and analysis.

This position can be domiciled anywhere in the United States. The ability to work remotely within the United States may be available based on business need.

This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role.
