Job Description

Program Manager (UAT, SAP)

Location: Cupertino, CA - hybrid

Anticipated Duration: 6 months, possible extension


The Finance BPR Team is looking for an energetic, innovative, and highly flexible person to support the implementation and validation of financial systems for OEM/Partner onboarding projects. The successful candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment focusing on details and execution quality. Developing and fostering partnerships within Finance and cross-functional teams are essential to long-term success. The person filling this position must be hands-on, technically adept with strong leadership and influencing skills.

  • Communicate project status on a regular basis and monitor project risks throughout the life of the project
  • Act as a liaison between the business and technology groups to ensure business project needs are met.
  • Work closely with business units including Operations, Global Business Solutions (GBS), Operations Finance, Tax, IT (IS&T) and other organizations in order to identify onboarding project impacts to the Finance Org, and lead the Finance teams through implementation

Responsibilities:

Confirm Approach and Identify Impacts:

  • Continuously monitor projects to identify changes that may impact the Finance team and update scope/approach accordingly
  • Participate in Ops BPR led weekly/recurring project meetings for each onboarding and maintain weekly/as needed sessions with the Finance teams
  • Coordinate between Operations and Finance to identify Finance team impacts of each onboarding project and tailor ongoing Finance team approach accordingly

Orchestrate Testing:

  • Partner with business, technical teams, and project managers to prepare and execute testing
  • Providing UAT testers with access to all the relevant information, tools and environments
  • Support through PVT (As appropriate)
  • Drive testing within the overall Finance BPR testing strategy and support model

Testing Preparation:

  • Organize cross-functional partners to support UAT transaction needs
  • Drive preparation of tools (i.e., Radar, etc.), test systems, and data for UAT execution
  • Lead project teams in scenario identification, scriptwriting, and test execution planning
  • Validate UAT environments, and required data setup are available to support testing
  • Identify resources/roles needed based on the strategy chosen

Test Execution & Reporting

  • Track and drive closure of defects identified during UAT to ensure sufficient quality of the end product
  • Create and publish daily/weekly status reports/metrics
  • Using data analysis, uncover issues, determine ownership, support identifying solutions and risk mitigation
  • Problem ticket creation and management
  • Apply UAT metrics to manage test execution and communicate to stakeholders
  • Drive detailed test strategy/plans execution to successful completion in line with major project milestones

Testing Documentation:

  • UAT Entry & Exit Criteria
  • UAT Exit Conditions documentation.
  • Documentation to support project audits
  • Go/No-Go documentation
  • Finance standard document sharing and retention tools (i.e. Box/quip sites)
  • Test Execution and UAT Ticket (i.e., bugs) Status Reporting
  • Script Writing and Preparation
  • Etc.
  • Kick-off Presentation(s)
  • Maintain all test documentation, including:

Skills Required:

  • Flexibility to change course based on business needs
  • Ability to quickly develop strong working relationships with global business partners
  • A high level of independence as demonstrated through mature problem-solving skills and delivery of high-quality work
  • Continuous interest in new systems and business processes
  • Outstanding technical, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
  • At ease with using with technical products. Must know how to use Excel. Familiarity with collaboration tools like, Quip and Slack ideal. SAP experience (SD/FI modules) a plus
  • Ability to interact with team members at all levels of the company
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple projects under tight deadlines
  • Working understanding of common financial terms and processes


The hourly pay range for this position is 50/HR to 60/HR (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location).
