Job Description
Summary You will serve as a PROGRAM MANAGER in the Systems Acquisition Group, Program Management Department, Joint & Strategic Systems Division of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV. You will support the F-35 Lightning II Program Air Vehicle, Vehicle Systems Production team as the Tooling Program Manager. Duty Station: Arlington, VA Responsibilities You will identify program requirements and works with the contractor to develop milestone schedules for Tooling procurements. You will help develop the acquisition strategy, long range and short-term planning, statements of work, and cost estimates for the Tooling Program You will work with Financial Managers for the US, partners, and FMS customers to plan and manage the financial execution of the Production Tooling program within the overall Production Planning Program. You will assess risks and impacts to program execution, develops and presents mitigation plans and alternative corrective actions to Production Planning leadership. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11/12 grade level or DA-04 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Utilizing a wide range of technical and business systems, processes, and practices used to manage weapon systems acquisition; 2) Reviewing, analyzing, and implementing higher level procurement policies; 3) Managing project/program requirements, objectives and metrics, and resolving conflicts among schedules, funding, and resources; 4) Identifying opportunities to incorporate process improvements and best practices utilizing customer feedback, internal and external audits, self-assessment, and lessons learned activities; 5) Advising management and colleagues on difficult problems, conducting special studies, proposing options and alternatives, and representing a command.
