- Manage the CASA and FCRB work/assignments according to established expectations and guidelines.
- Deliver mandatory pre-service training and continuing education in compliance with program policies and standards.
- Increase public awareness of the two advocacy programs.
- Establish and carry out a written plan for recruiting volunteers, inclusive of populations reflective of communities served.
- Utilize ICAB’s web-based data system proficiently.
- Prioritize tasks and time to meet established performance goals and critical deadlines.
- Pass initial and ongoing background checks.
- Critical thinking to complete tasks independently by managing the work of volunteers
- Promote the best possible outcomes for the safety, well-being, and permanency for children.
- Problem solving to deescalate situations and minimize conflicts.
- Interpersonal, professional savvy working with volunteers and stakeholders.
- Effective writing skills, including the ability to interpret and edit reports.
- Read and comprehend complex instructions including federal, state and local laws, policy and procedures applicable to ICAB.
- Maintain confidentiality of volunteer and case records and information.
- Effectively recruit, train and coach volunteers to fulfill their responsibilities.
- Accuracy in the production of work.

- A total of four years of education and full-time experience (as described in number one), where thirty semester hours of accredited college or university course work in any field equals one year of full-time experience; and
- A total of two years of graduate-level education and full-time experience (as described in part a), where twenty-four semester hours of accredited graduate college or university course work in any field equals one year of full-time experience.
- Current, continuous experience in the state executive branch that includes eighteen months of full-time work as a Program Planner 1.
