Summary
- You will provide command-to-command engagement with supported commands and stakeholders, translating supported command's requirements and priorities into NAVFAC's products and services.
- You will make effective oral and written presentations on matters of importance to high-level staffs consisting of commanding officers, commanders, and department heads up through the O-9 officer level and SES level.
- You will provide portfolio strategic management, aligning and translating the organizational strategies of the supported command and NAVFAC into near-term and far-term infrastructure plans.
- You will develop and maintain multi-year plans for facility projects such as Military Construction and Facility Sustainment, Restoration, and Modernization projects.
- You will use formal decision-making processes and work through official governance structure to plan and program infrastructure requirements.
- You will manage workload, monitor performance and productivity, and prioritize resources of a facilities lifecycle program.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- Generally, current federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level. This requirement is called time-in-grade. Time-in-grade requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
- This position may require occasional travel from normal duty station. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft.
- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver?s license.
- Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
