Position Summary

The position is part of the Social-Digital & Original Content group which focuses on identifying, creating, distributing and publishing content for the NBA’s social and digital platforms and its many domestic and international partners throughout the world. This position supports the NBA, WNBA, NBA 2K, BAL and G League. As the demand for content on the NBA’s social and digital platforms continues to grow, this is your opportunity to grow with us in a fast-paced, innovative and collaborative environment.

This is a project employee position based out of the Secaucus, New Jersey office that will continue throughout the 2023-24 NBA season.

Major Responsibilities

• Tag behind-the-scenes footage and historical footage in the NBA’s digital archive
• Identify elements and potential storylines from NBA, WNBA, NBA 2K, BAL and G League live games and tentpole events throughout the season from the NBA’s Content Command Center (This will include nights and weekends)
• Specifically, identify content for all NBA, WNBA, NBA 2K, BAL and G League social and digital platforms

Required Skills/Knowledge

• Knowledge and experience with Podcasts is a plus
• Gaming experience and knowledge are a plus
• Knowledge of basketball analytics and the rules of the game
• Deeply knowledgeable and passionate about the NBA, WNBA, NBA 2K, BAL and G League and their players, coaches, and teams
• Strong knowledge and understanding of social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, Snapchat and Twitch.
• Knowledge of pop culture and social media personalities who connect with key NBA, WNBA, NBA 2K, BAL and G League demographics
• Bilingual abilities are a plus
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Knowledge of video production
• Basic knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro and other content creation tools

Educational Background

• Bachelor's degree in Communications or related field preferred

Salary Range: [[$21.13/Hourly]]
