Production Supervisor Jobs

Manage daily safety, quality, and production of Cold Drawn products.

• Assist in troubleshooting machinery and make any repairs in the event of a breakdown.
• Identify and implement improvements to the manufacturing process.
• Effectively manage costs through variable demand to maximize profitability for the product – Including conversion costs, overtime, and scrap.
• Embody and Promote the SDI culture in terms of Safety, Productivity, Quality, Teamwork, Continuous Improvement, and Innovation.
• Lead a team of 40 employees and one supervisor.
• Ensure SDI/OSHA safety requirements are met and exceeded.
• Motivate the crew to effectively accomplish the tasks at hand while monitoring employee performance and task efficiency.
• Be a leader in Take Control of Safety (TCOS)
• Effectively practice Performance Based Management by coaching and developing employees.
• Manage reliable and predictable operations.
• Forecast monthly production output.
• Assure the schedule is designed to gain maximum utilization of manpower, equipment, and material on all shifts.
• Reduce process variability and improve consistency throughout the department.

3+ years of production supervisory experience or degree Metallurgy/Engineering.

5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

Knowledge in areas such as confined space entry, lockout/tagout, hot work permitting, etc. and a strong sense of Safety Awareness.

Ability and desire to improve efficiency and increase capacity.

Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor.

Self-motivated with a positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and proven leadership skills.

Knowledge of Continuous Improvement Planning process and Manufacturing process control.
